In August 2004, because of capital reconstruction, the Bank’s ownership was transferred to a consortium comprising Ibrahim Leasing Limited and Ibrahim Group.
Today, with its existence of over 60 years, the Bank has built itself a foundation with a strong equity, assets and deposit base. It offers universal banking services, while placing major emphasis on retail banking. The Bank also has the largest network of over 700 online branches in Pakistan and offers various technology-based products and services to its diverse clientele.
With the growing video surveillance, Allied Bank Limited took the step with Axis IP Cameras in their most high volume 60 branches nationwide.
The solution was provided by Astaa Technologies, Milestone Partners and Axis Communication Gold Partner in Pakistan. Milestone Xprotect Enterprise is installed with 4 to 5 Axis 207 and Axis 211 cameras in each branch, 39 number of Axis 207, 233D and Axis 211 Cameras at the head office and all branches are centralized at Regional Allied Bank Office where all the cameras are being viewed from each branch as well as if any camera or sever gets down they receive alerts by email from the cameras or by the server by using the Exceptional feature of Milestone XProtect Enterprise and by the Camera itself. The existing IT infrastructure is used with the IP cameras and managed networks. This has saved on the cost and hassle of installing a separate coaxial network. The security officer and bank manager view the cameras and the recordings from the client software while the server is managed by the IT officials who manage the network and recordings from the branch are archived on a daily basis.
The client software features ensure that personnel of varying designation can get access to limited features of cameras of their concern, so if a security manager has access to cameras from multiple branches, the branch manager would only have access to cameras of his or her respective branch.
