Warid Telecom:

Warid Telecom is a joint venture between Abu Dhabi Group & SingTel Group. Abu Dhabi Group entered into a strategic alliance with Singapore Telecom. Subsequent to this transaction in July 2007, telecom giant SingTel acquired 30% percent equity stake in Warid Telecom, Pakistan, for US$758 million. This partnership is part of a strategy to support Warid Telecom’s continued growth and to enhance its market position. Abu Dhabi Group, one of the largest business groups in the Middle East and the single largest foreign investor in Pakistan. It has diversified business interests, offering strong financial resources and extensive management expertise that result in commercial success for several institutions.

Warid Telecom Business centers required Surveillance for their own staff as well as the customers. They wanted to see their service counters to be monitored live by their senior managers sitting in their office all the time to make the Customer service Quality better and better.

Astaa Technologies has provided them the solution for the purpose for business center surveillance as well as the Customer service Quality by using their network infrastructure nationwide. Axis network Cameras has been installed at 25 business center nationwide where 5 to 6 Axis 207 Network cameras at each business center for service counters, waiting lounges and Axis 211 for the Entrance Exit installed. At every business center, a small NVR is placed for recording and achieving. By using the Milestone XProtect Enterprise having unlimited number of client software, all the business center managers are able to view live the Service Counters and waiting lounges and have a playback recording access. All business centers have been centralized at one place by using the Milestone Centralize Feature of multiple servers. By doing this, senior managers can access any Business Center Nationwide at any time to see the live image and also have options for playback recordings. Astaa Technologies has provided the solution of the failover camera or sever gets down; they receive alerts via email and SMS from the cameras or by the server by using the AN Extra Ordinary and Exceptional feature of Milestone XProtect Enterprise.

MSC and BSC are also being covered nationwide with the same solution by using the Axis 207 and Axis 211 Network cameras for IP Surveillance where 290 Cameras are being used. Warid EFU House (Head Office) where more than 39 cameras are installed for the Video Surveillance.
